Brethren,

Any suggestions on BBQ shacks in Nashville? I have business there next week and would like to try a few.

Thanks,
Brian

Best is subjective:noidea: I been tole by my daughter that Pegleg Porker has some fine hog meat in Music city. She says it's almost as good as mine, but she has to say that .... they aint never to big to stripe them legs:heh:

I have heard Pegleg Porker is good too althouogh I understand it serves a more traditional regional flavor.

I am headed that way in two weeks and I will find out.

Heard from a local Nashville boy and his #1 is Pegleg and Martin's is 2nd.

Thanks for the replies.

I was in Nashville week before last and ate at Jack's on Broadway, beside Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Not bad, perhaps a bit dry- good flavour, though.

If Pegleg is better than Martins, it ain't too shabby.

If you get tired of barbecue try Arnold's country cooking on 8th ave or one of the many hot chicken joints. Barbecue's ok here but it's not a barbecue destination. Let us know what you end up doing.
