Anyone have any good ways to attach a Guru pit probe to the grate of a BWS Gater? The Guru clip won't attach to the heavy grates. I guess I could attach to an empty rail or the door therm probe. Just thinking by the meat would be best.

I clip mine on an empty rail on the side of my G2's. Those racks are too darn thick. And the rails work well because they are away from the food where it might misread a temp and also keeps it from getting dripped on.

I attach a bigger metal clip to my grate then attach the Guru probe to that. I thought about wrapping wire around the grate with the tie sticking up but have not tried that yet.

My door temp probe is too thick to attach the Guru probe.

I dont have a Guru but I sometimes clip my Auber probe to a wad of alum foil and push the wad between the grates close to the meat

I use wine corks. I stick a skewer through the cork and clip to the skewer. Don't use synthetic corks, it has to be real cork.

Saw that, thanks. Was just thinking I wanted the probe away from the door.

I ordered extra clips from Maverick, they work pretty good.

That might work.

The reason why I moved the probes to the door was to make it easier to move racks around. Plus, when you open the door, the probe wires move away from in front of the racks making it easier to slide them out or remove product from the rack.
