Seems a little long. Average temp has been around 245. Right now got it cranked up to 264.

Internally I am reading 178. This seem a little long for a butt?

does it have a bone in? If so, check on it every once in a while and wiggle the bone. If it doesn't have a bone, stick a fork in it and twist. If it easily twists it is done.

Sounds normal. Crank it up to 300 and finish strong. Wrap it in foil and it will push it through also.

Bone didn't wiggle out easily. Letting this baby crank up to 300. Haven't foiled yet.

Watch the bark color if you crank it. It it starts to get too dark then foil it.

That sounds a little long to me, but I cook hotter than where you are at so it could be about right.

Start out at 275 next time, and let the temps climb to low 300s to power through. Still get great results, and have plenty of time to properly rest the meat before serving.
