I got this drum for free so I guess it is time for a new project. I will be updating it as I go.

Good luck. The only thing more fun than building a UDS is cooking on one.

Finished it up last week. It was an easy and fun project.

Hole for Auber temp controller blower. It worked fine with the 6CFM blower.

I think there is something wrong with your coloring scheme. It looked like Green Bay Packer colors. You might want to get a refund on that paint.

They were cooked in my WSM. I don't have a welder so we trade on a frequent basis.

Looks great. More info on the temp controller? Guru's, Aubers, Stokers, PitmasterIQ are all PIDS and do a decent job. Sensor goes at the grate level and the controller unit tells a fan when to stoke the fire to keep that temp you preset.

For simplicity and cost i prefer the IQ ... fan is connected to the controller (all in one unit) and a hose runs to the pit. I built a rain box for mine to protect from wind rain and snow.

??? The Cowboys don't have orange in their colors and it's blue, not teal.

I competed in my first comp last weekend with my UDS and brinkmann trailmaster mod. Over 30 teams I finished 4th in brisket and 9th in butt, 2nd overall. Love this stuff. Proud to be one of the brethren!!!
