I picked up a Used Lang and i'm wanting to clean off some of the baked on grease and sauce drips under the cooking chamber door. Any advice?

Thanks.

Dawn dish detergent, water and a Dobie.

take a look at Lang's site, they have some suggestions. Periodically I do what they recommend AND after steaming it for a while I bring the temp up high again and use a putty knife to scrape away more stubborn junk.

Two other ideas that work well... a weed burner and burn the crap out. Or a pressure washer. But don't forget to re-season.

No experience with the lang, but when I want to clean my grills I usually build a hot fire and burn it clean. If you are talking about grease on the outside of the grill it would probably also make it easier to clean if the grill was at least warm to loosen up the grease. Just my .02.

Pressure washer, a stiff brush, Dawn detergent... plus a little elbow grease.

I've used Dawn on the outside of my gassers before. And LOTS of elbow grease. Which reminds me, I need to do this again sometime

Simple Green works pretty well on the outside of my WSM, but it is porcelain coated.
