Nice smoker. Does it seal well around the lid with the ring bolted in? Also, did you use any silicone or other sealer around it when you bolted it in?

I would swap those boards out for bricks. I caught mine smoking one day! The more you use it and smoke in general you will see you over built it... Looks very nice.

Yes, it seals good and I used some black hi temp silicone to between the ring and the top of the drum.

I knew I may have been over building it. Probably over kill, but I'm adding a rotisserie.

They are 12" thermos I found on sale at Wally World. They work well, but I also have a Maverick et-73 that I use.
