View Full Version : Chicken Legs w/ New Rub and Sauce (Pics)

Since I have to cook for my job (I know, I know, it's such a hard life!), I decided to grab a new (to us) product off the shelf. Malcom Reed's Killer Hogs Barbecue Rub and Sauce is a nice sweet competition style rub/sauce (a lot like my Yardbird/Blues Hog/Honey combo, but with a different overall profile).

I had some chicken legs in the fridge and decided to get to work. The pan was empty as soon as my camera took it's last pic. Guess everyone liked them?!?!

Cooked on a Yoder Smokers YS640 (gray comp cart) at 325 for 90 minutes. Pulled at 165 - 168 to let rest. I even got the skin to bite through which always seems more difficult on legs than thighs.

They look great! :thumb:

I did some drummies yesterday myself, made a fine meal.

Looks great! I'm just down the road from you guys! And that looks like it would be worth the drive.

Well, food usually comes off of the Yoder around 1pm on weekdays. If you're in the area, stop by and see if you came on a good day!

PS, I think I'm doing pork shoulder on Wednesday...
