Has anyone tried to corn anything other than a brisket, and was it as good?

The guys from Philly Blind Pig have a recipe on thier blog for corned beef ribs. I have never tried them, but have heard from a few people they are really good.

Does beef heart and tongue count? Then yes

I've done tri tip and it turned out great. Only wanted to do about 3lbs and around these parts you can often get tri tip cheaper than brisket especially smaller ones.

When I've made my own I've used brisket since that's what we prefer. I can regularly find corned round in the store and I've tried it and didn't like it. It was too lean and had a different texture.

That is the basis of my question, yesterday I saw corned beef and it was labeled round, and wondered what they really meant, because they only had points and no flats just rounds. I guess maybe a chuck roast mite work due to more fat content.
