Happy New Year all! Like many of you I cooked outside on the grill today. The main feature was lamb chops as requested by SWMBO. Along with that I grilled some veggies:


This is one of my favorite accessories - a heavy cast iron grate that fits perfectly on a 22 1/2" Weber kettle.


Once the veggies are done, they go into some cast iron warmed a bit in my gasser and the lamb goes over the hottest part of the coals. (Before the lamb went on the CI grate, it was warmed in the gasser a little for a sort of reverse sear.)


Ready to eat!


And yes, it was as good as it looks. I seasoned the lamb with chopped fresh rosemary and sage and a little salt and pepper and seared until the middle read 130 and it was great!
