I got "volunteered" to smoke some pork butts for her family Christmas. We're also gonna throw on some chicken breasts (I think) and a rack of ribs for us that night.

Two racks of ribs, some chix, a pecan/apple fattie, and Michael's first brisket. We're expecting a visit from Santa Brethren, so this should be a joyous smokin' Saturday!

Haddock just got out of a simple 4 hour brine.. Sockeye Salmon is in a different brine now until morning. Will start smoking first thing. Should be fun. Cold and wet snow in the forecast tomorrow!

Tonight I did wings rubbed with Bovine Bold then put in a foil pan with water, butter and Franks Hot Sauce, then covered with foil. Cooked that for 45 minutes at 350. Then pulled, re-rubbed and cooked on the grill till they were done the way I like 'em. Oh, and I mop them with the juice from the foil pan. Comes out pretty dang good.

I also did a Split Pea Soup with a Ham hock today because it was raining and pretty miserable. One of my favorites for the wintertime. I put 8 containers in the freezer and 2 in the fridge. Can't wait!!
