Greeting Brethren and Sistren,

As the title implies, I am looking for a place to buy a good full brisket near West Point, NY. I called the commissary there, but they only have the trimmed down flats. Any reliable meat shops around?

Thanks,
Hungry in New York

Restaurant depot... almost exclusively. I also have a cousin in wholesale food sales but I have to buy by the case from her.

Do you have to work for a restaurant or catering business to shop there? I don't qualify for free membership, do they sell do the general public or offer paid memberships?

Not to public a tax id or join KCBA and one of the offers is a day pass to the depo just need to get one each day.

I have a tax ID that I used but if you join KCBS you can get a day pass. It's worth it.

Thanks. I'll look into it. Nyack isn't too far.

Its in blauvelt, just passed West Nyack. That one isn't too bad. I prefer hackensack but that is a bit of a trip for you.

yep, there are 11 RD's in NY so there has to be one relatively close to you. the KCBS membership is $35 and you can get unlimited one day passes. that's exactly what i did monday down here in virginia. you'll never want to buy meat anywhere else after you see the meat selection. most things have to be bought in bulk but not brisket. i bought 1 brisket in alexandria, VA for 2.70 a pound and that's an excellent price for around here
