How about a little place where we can post current sales on Thermapens and also have a place to finally decide what color is fastest?

Disclaimer- I am in no way indorsed by Thermoworks...but I do love em.

i don't have a thermapen yet, I keep hoping I see a BF sale popup lol. Kind of hard to justify the $100 price tag but at the current rate of thermometers i'm going through, I need to just bite the bullet and get a good one.

The Red Thermapen can do the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, take that other colors.
Hands down the best cooking tool I've purchased.

It's pretty much neck and neck between my red one and flame one. But then I don't use the flame one too much. Can't risk scratching up the flames. Guess I should find out if Thermoworks will 're-flame' if need be.

In the beginning, God created a beautiful black thermapen and God said it was good. But, God saw that it was not good that the black Thermapen be alone. So, he made him a beautiful red female Thermapen to be an help meet for him. And God said that it was good.

And it came to pass that the Thermapens bore a son who was a beautiful blue Thermapen. And God said it was good.

In the process of time, the red Thermapen bore another Thermapen that was orange. And God said that it was good. Then, another Thermapen was born, this one was yellow and God said that it was good.

The generations of Thermapens prospered with many colors including green, gray, white and pink. And, God saw and said it was good.

Then one day the red Thermapen bore a lavender Thermapen and God said "What the Heck is that?"

Has anyone picked up the Ltd Edition Desert Tan model? Has a US Flag on it. My red of many years died about a week ago and after several days of mourning, I'm ready to find a new love.

My thermopen has been screwing me lately. I was cooking steaks and used the TP to get the temp. The thermopen registered 125 so I pulled the steaks. Took them inside and the steaks were medium well. How does that happen? Checked it in boiling water and the temp was on there.

My only guess is that the batteries might be going out. I replaced them last weekend, so hopefully it will be dependable. I am doing 2 whole tenderloins this Saturday and simply cannot afford for this to be off. I might have to buy a separate probe thermo just to keep it honest. Hate that.

Oh yeah, and mine is blue.

Measure the temp left or right of the center of the steak. Steaks can't be measured like you would a roast.
