Gang, a while back I posted about getting FREE pork from an classmate of mine that custom raises hogs. I just received two whole front shoulders from him tonight. My question is to make pulled pork should I cut out the Boston Butt and picnic cut or just throw it all in the smoker. Also does anyone have a link that shows how to cut out the Boston Butt from the front shoulder. He also gave me the tenderloins!!

Either way will work. I like to leave the skin on on at least the picnic part. I love bark, but I love crispy smoked skin more. :thumb:

Don't know how many you want to feed but consider turning the picnic into a ham.

Dan--educate me a bit here.
I thought "ham" was from the hind quarter, not the shoulder.
But, what do I know :redface:
