OK folks... I have a major problem. I have cooked to much of the staples (brisket, pulled pork, chuckie, ribs, chicken) and the wife has gotten bored of them. Me, I could never stop eating ribs.

Anyway, I recently fell in back in love with my BGE and want to do a long-ish cook on it this weekend but I need suggestions. What should I cook?! Please keep in mind that this doesn't have to be BBQ - though BBQ is preferred. I do pizza quite often as well (and love it) but I recently broke my pizza stone and need a new one.

Please post any ideas that you have and I will either pick one at random or pick them best one. Then, ala Bigabyte, I will post all the pr0n here.

So have it, what should I make on the BGE!?

Pork loin eh? Try THIS (http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112870) one. It's one of my favorites......:thumb:

OR then there's smoked meatloaf. THIS (http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101105) one was really good when I did it.

Neither one of those are really LONG cooks, but sort of longISH.

You COULD do some BRISKET CHILI (http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2244169&postcount=8), which would requre you to smoke a brisket for the point. The chili iteslf takes a few hours, so that's longish.

Ditto on the pork loin!!! Give you a chance to be creative and still use the smoker. The wife will be happy because it is nothing like the typical BBQ and you can be happy because you get to play with fire and smoke for around 4 hours depending on the size of the loin. Suggestions

1. Cut it in "The Round"
2. Brine the piece of meat
3. Wrap in Bacon Weave
4. Pull of smoker when internal temp reaches 140-145

There are some fabulous recipes on this site for Stuffed Smoked Pork Loin

You are really taking a risk asking this sort of question around this crowd!:becky:

How about a beef tenderloin roast stuffed with caramelized onion and gorgonzola, all wrapped up in bacon, and covered with a mushrooms in wine sauce?

MMMM Another excellent idea! My wife isn't a huge fan of smoked beef so I am leaning toward pork loin but I like this idea too!

I do italian beef sammies 2x a month but never pork. Great idea. I absolutely LOVE Tommy DiNics in Philly. By far the best pork sandwich (best sandwich) on the planet. Looks just like yours!
