Hey ,
just a quick question, any of you guys ever melt down hot pepper jelly and add it too your BBQ sauce? I was given a jar and thought it may be interesting on ribs. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've used it a an ingredient in a glaze. I just reduced the foiling juice to a thick syrup, then added about a cup of jalapeno jelly and stirred until it melted. Brushed it on the ribs for the last 15 minutes or so of the cook. It really worked out well, adding a nice brightness to the flavor and making the ribs look fantastic.

This stuff is good to use anyway you want. I've mixed it with my glaze with good results. I've heard of people doing this in comps with great results too.

Tabasco pepper jelly is great used as a glaze. Mix it in with BBQ sauce.
