My wife and I decided to toss a chicken in the smoker today just to try out our new IQ 110. Man I love this thing already. I've been working in my shop getting stuff done and every time I come out to check the temps are right on! I varried the temp several times and when I came back out it was sitting at the new temp.:clap2:

I do my birds low and slow because I like more smoke and don't eat the skin, and my dogs never complained when I fed them the rubbery skin!

Here is a photo!

Thanks!

The chicken came out great, and I got a lot of work done in my shop.

The skin was like smokey leather, and the dogs loved it. The smoke flavor made it all the way to the center of the white meat which I never had before, but I never smoked a chicken at 225 for 5 hours before( this bird had a looonng stall!). Other than being a little salty in the dark meat from brining all night, it was a hit. The white meat was perfect!

Yes, it was like setting your oven in the kitchen. I set the temp and walked away. Chris

I have two of the IQ110's, one for each of my drums.... I LOVE them.... they are as it is said... "set it and forget it".... I got almost 4 hrs sleep at my last comp.. which is way more than I use to get....

I highly recommend them.

I love my IQ110. I got it last Christmas. I use it on mt UDS. I really struggled with keeping a constant temp. I know they should do that. But the IQ took that frustration out of the process for me.

I have been using mine on my modified Brinkmann (with the electric versions' lava rock pan as the sealed bottom). I have the IQ routed thru a pipe/ elbow in the lava rock pan to blow directly up thru one of the holes in my charcoal pan. My charcoal gets air from below. I can add more charcoal or (water to the water pan) thru the Brinkann door with a 4" pipe chute I made!
