Backwoods Insulation Question

I am looking at the Backwoods Extended party or the Gator. Would the 1" of insulation in the party be enough for our cold WI winters? Lets say running in 15 deg temps. Or should I bump up to the Gator and 2" of insulation and more $$. Has anyone run a party model in those temps and had any issues? Any insight would be helpful.

I cannot answer the cold temp side of your question, but sage advise always points to buying the bigger cooker. In your case - problem solved! You're going to love that Gater/Fatboy - happy cooking!

The standard 1" insulation will work fine in your climate. No need for the upgrade in the Party.
