According to my winblows 7 scientific calculator that's a slightly better deal than the 2 x 20 deal. By about .2 cents/lb.

.2/lb???? Is that really worth it in regards to extra packaging and waste?
Maybe to some folks i guess maybe it is. Both deals are pretty dang good.

All they had were the double 13.9 lb double bags and had they had bigger bags for that price I would have bought them to !! Dont care either way buying 10 more bags tomorrow, just thought I would share with my bros, sorry apparently it wasnt as good a deal as I thought ! Hope no one lost that .002 cents on my account, my bad !!

Sparky, I agree with you, but some people have bad backs, etc, and the 13.9 lb bags are easier to deal with. You probably wouldn't believe how many people can hardly lift up one of those 2 x 20lb packages.

Forgot to mention, I use my empty charcoal bags to light my chimney starter when I have them. So it's not a total waste.

Trying to tell you that those deals will NOT be there tomorrow according to the ad. Sell ends tonight.

Yeah, I hear you on the back issue. Mine is FRIED! But not that bad i guess as to not be able to pick up the 40's. On the same note though, if I go back tonight, I will buy the smaller ones for that very same reason.

Cheers

why not cut the plastic wrapper????Then you'd only lift 20# versus 40#

The closest HD to my house was out of all Kingsford charcoal. The next closest HD had the 2 x 13.9lb bags for $6.88. I grabbed 5 doubles, you never have too much charcoal.
