Thought I would share some pictures of my first Shoulder (picnic, bone in) cook.

14hrs of low and slow (250 constant) on my Big Green Egg and I started it in the rain.

Sorry but the pictures are working so I have to post links.

6am start in the rain with a coffee:


Had to build a rain cap for the egg to keep the water out of the daisey wheel:


5 Hours in and my first look at the progress:


9 Hours and I hit the stall:


The finished product after 14 hours:

I did have lots of fun with it, a little hungry at the end waiting for 14 hours but I had a blast and I kno what I need to change for the next time now.

I wish I could as well. The drought in the US is going to affect us all in North America. They are already talking about prices for everything up here climbing becasue of the corn crop failure in the US.
