I have been using a CookShack Amerique for several years. It's a great unit but lacks BBQ romance. It's like using a commercial kitchen cooker.
I just got a Lang 36 and wanted to share some early impressions. First of all, the Lange 36 is wonderful. It's like industrial art. It requires more work (and cold beer consumed) than the CS but ribs and brisket taste awesome and I LOVE THE SMOKE RING. The food looks and tastes more authentic. I am impressed by the build quality and it holds temperature like a champ. A very, very satisfying product.
The CS is great for larger parties and easy overnight cooking. The CS is a very serious unit and also turns out very tasty Q. My wife prefers roast chicken and salmon out of the CS. Otherwise, IMO the Lang is the champ.
