New Spice Blends to be Released Late July 2012
Few things are more exciting for a company than getting to research, develop and launch new products to the marketplace. Over the past several months, Chris has been spending many hours in the test kitchen at Dizzy Pig working on some new blends, and, in his words, he ‘was on fire!’
The blends were inspired by cultural and regional flavor profiles, but have been reworked to give them a twist and highlight each of their unique spice and herb components. Specially blended without sugar, these seasonings are perfect for high temp grilling, pan searing and blackening. Many of the blends in development fit the bill for our summer direct grilling techniques and recipes. Two of the blends in particular are at a stage where they ‘market-ready’, which is exciting news for grilling enthusiasts everywhere. Thanks to all the fine cooks who have provided us feedback!

Fajita-ish™ spice blend showcases spices used in Mexican cooking that are familiar to many of you. With this seasoning, Chris created the perfect blend of the traditional spices and nailed the south-of-the-border flavor profile perfectly. Fajita-ish™ takes the familiar and totally ramps it up with fresh ground whole spices, just like you’d expect from Dizzy Pig. Mexican never tasted so good!
Bombay Curry-ish™ is a spicy, fresh take on classic Bombay curry. Any fan of curry knows that freshness in the spice blend is what separates the mundane from the exotic. And with Bombay Curry-ish™, Chris strikes that delicate balance between heat, savory, exotic and fragrant. No spice blend benefits more from the deft Dizzy Pig hand with fresh ground spices and herbs than does this new creation; you are guaranteed to be impressed!
Look for more exciting news coming soon regarding these two blends and others in the "ish" line of spice rubs.
