I have recently acquired a 250 gallon tank. I'm about to start a build and was wanting opinions of reverse flow vs standard offset. Are there any advantages? Also, how big of a gap do you leave on the far end of the tank for the smoke to come back to the stack?

There is a really good thread about this from BBQBANDIT. He owns both and has pics and documents them really well.

A friend of mine has a home built reverse flow and it has removable plates as opposed to a solid one welded in. Works really well too.
