I am cooking two butts...one smaller and one bigger. The smaller one is 200-204 all over it no matter where I put the probe. The larger one is all over the map. over 200 in some spots and 185-195 in others. I stick the thermapen (orange, so we all know its faster and more accurate) into the thickest part of the meat and it reads 200-202...the spots closer to the outside are colder. Should I pull this thing and just wrap it now? Or should it be 200 everywhere?

Temp don't mean doodley squat what does it feel like? Dose it feel like Frigid Freda:sad: or Hot Monkey Sex with Juicy Lucy:icon_smile_tongue:? Juicy Lucy is what your aiming for:-D

yeah, it was juicy lucy so I pulled it and foiled it and now its in the cooler wrapped in a towel...Gonna make some Eastern NC BBQ Sauce for it and tear these puppies up in a few hours.
