So it is 9 pm Saturday night and you are an 11 year old girl. You would want to be watching a movie. Talking with friends or reading a book...right?

Not my daughter. She was helping me prep for smoking a butt. She made the injection and injected 1/2 of it. She helped shake the rub on. And she even called dips on pulling it tomorrow.

I must be doing something right...:grin::grin:

It is always a great thing to share with your family. By doing things together you can instil the love of the craft and make a memory she will never forget.

GREAT JOB, send us some pics of the cooked butt....

Well, your sig line says it all. Congrats on a fine daughter. (The old man must be pretty good too!)

Great stuff! My daughter helped me with the bend test on my ribs last weekend. It was fun sharing with her

Get her to do the whole cook, buy a hammock, and kick back!

My sons occasionally take an interest in my cooking and I love it when they do!

My son has a profound interest on coming over on Sunday night and eating q. Does that count? It should, I look forward to it all week. :-D

Good on ya (and her)! My 12yo son is the same way. He's turned down hanging out with buddies to help me prep and cook. I've literally had to tell him to go play sometimes when he's had cousins or friends over for the night because he wants to hang out in the kitchen with me.

Good stuff!

She is up to help put it on the WSM. Not yet a sleep all day teenager.

That's Awesome!
Some of my best memories are of doing everyday stuff with my dad. Miss him every day.
