My wife, Margaret, asked me to find out who first discovered smoked mac n cheese here on the BBQ Brethren and say THANK YOU!
For over a year, it never fails. If I fire up the smoker, she is going to put mac n cheese in there. When we eat, her first and last bites are mac n cheese.
When she kisses me after dinner...I taste mac n cheese. Its damm good too!

I am new here, so this is the first time I've heard of it. Even without tasting it, I would like to say to whomever invented the idea:
I think I love you.

I have to +1 this. I made smoked mac and cheese when this was on the first page a few weekends ago, and according to my kids it's the best mac and cheese ever! I'm making it again today for our party.

Bacon is fair, as Bobby Flay once said "bacon is the one meat vegetarians eat".

Here's my very best attempt at it so far...
Smoked Mac n Cheese w/Chorizo (http://mancavemeals.net/2012/04/28/smoked-macaroni-and-cheese-with-chorizo/)
This has been the biggest hit with friends and family. I modified a recipe from "Chuckwagon Cowboy" on Youtube to get this and it's fantastic...
