My daughters volleyball team will be in Columbus from July 2nd-8th for the Juniors Nationals.

Anyone know of any good BBQ houses?

Thanks in advance

City Barbecue. Several locations throughout the city.

There used to be a place called hoggies. They used to have two locatoins in the columbus area. That was about 7 years ago I am not sure if they are still out there or not.

I don't know about BBQ, but we went for a baseball tournament once and had pizza at a place called Tommy's on Lane Ave (close to OSU) that was really good. Best cracker crust I ever had.

Several of the Hoggies joints have closed. City BBQ is not bad, but I'd recommend Thurman Cafe for their burgers and wings. They have been on Man vs Food (see link), and I've eaten there several times and is excellent. Try to plan your meal time around 2:30-3:00, you'll have the least amount of wait time. It is a real small place, but excellent food.

Ray Ray's Hog Pit is on High Street, only open on weekends until he sells out (it's a food truck style joint)

Other than that I can recommend City BBQ also, If you want NON-BBQ then yes hit up the Thurman for a burger!

City BBQ and Graeter's ice Cream! Graeater's is old school with just a few flavors that are high quality.
