my superfastest Orange thermapen is goofin up  . The connection at the pivot seems to be farked up. sending the display on and off at the most inopportune times...

So i called up Thermoworks and the guy i needed to talk to wasnt there, less than half hour or so later he called me back ( now that's customer service) it'll be on it's way to them shortly, and hopefully come back faster than EVER!!!

Be happy, they're taking care of you. And if you're lucky you'll get the ultra sonic fast red in return.

That why I buy cheap one don't have to send them back just throw them away. But if you buy one from Lowes they always replace them and you don't have to call someone and send it back.

"how much was that" your right, they just don't get it. To me, it's like any other tool. You do get what you pay for.

Over the years, I have had 2 that did similar things.
Both cases were internal corrosion from the Southern humidity.

Both were repaired for free, cost me about $10 for shipping.

And, I got a new bag of Jelly Beans each time

Works for me.

"Unless you've got a Themapen, you just don't understand."

I've "sold" four people already Thermapens, just by using it in front of them.

Even my skeptical wife, who sorta freaked when I told her how much, swears we'll never go without. She uses for reading water temps (for proofing yeast), RIGHT OUTTA THE TAP! Yes, it's that fast.

And mine is orange.

True,

an unskilled carpenter will continue to hammer nails by hand, one by one,

an experienced carpenter will buy a nail gun.

Hope they take care of you. I love mine since I got it. I use it for all sorts of cooking/baking things also. Mine is the superfast Blue.

you should've got the red one... much better than orange, never breaks! :icon_smile_tongue:

blue are not good either... i put mine one the grill, by mistake, it was well done in about 30 seconds. So i got a red one (with boot and case this time), happy camper for 2+ years... and i watch where i put them!

My RED one has never had any problems at all. Except for maybe working too fast.

Man, if Kevs thermapen is farked because of humidity, I am afraid of where he is storing it and how he is using it.
