grilling skert steak and having black beens and yellow rice for father's day Sunday. can't decide on doing a rub or marinate. Any suggestions?

Considering black beans and yellow rice, I can't imagine I wouldn't do some sort of generic Latin influenced marinade.

Chimichurri Marinade is good with flank steak.

I did a cook a little while back and used
Ancho chili powder
Olive oil
Cilantro
Garlic
Lemon / lime
Cumin
Salt/pepper
For a simple quick marinade it turned out great.

Google arrachera, a good buddy of mine married into a Mexican family. They love the stuff! (although I prefer mine cooked a bit less), It's delicious, and would fit right in with your ingreadient list
