Just got my rubs in the mail today, looking for your advice on which one to use on a pork butt first. Simply marvelous sweet and spicey, simply marvelous sweet seduction or Plowboys yard bird. Thanks for your time.

Don't know what you put in that Yard Bird but it sure smells good, can't wait to use it.

Lots of folks use Yardbird on pork, but lots of folks use the SM rubs on pork too.

Buy 3 butts and try one on each? :becky:

That's one fine selection of rubs, some of the best around!

You couldn't go wrong with any of them alone or mixed

I suggest make notes as you go forward - you will find your preferences by trying

I use Yardbird on everything (or when I have it I use it on everything,lol....gotta run out to Bass Pro Shop)

What a great problem to have.

Close your eyes, pick one for the butt then do two fatties with the other two.

SM Sweet and Spicy is the current favorite in our house. Would def recommend trying that first!

I use SM rubs on chicken pretty extensively. Yardbird is my personal favorite on ribs and does very well on butts as well. Really, you can't go wrong with any of them. My feeling is that sweet seduction does best on chicken though.

Well my buddies and I are doing our second competition on Saturday and decided it would be best to do two butts, I am sure others do many more. Going to go with yard bird on one and SM Sweet and Spicey on the other. Thanks again fellas.
