Been kinda busy here since wifey retired. She has kept me on a very very short leash and we are attacking the overdue honeydue list!
Went shopping last evening and snagged a 10# plus well marbled NY. Strip in cryovac.
Long story short our family and guests arrived as I was slicing the strip into 1" thick steaks. Baked the sweet corn in the oven Alton Brown style. Grilled the steaks on the gasser as I had no time to get the charcoal grill going as our lil grandsons were tired, hungry and very very cranky.
Rubbed the steaks with Simply Marvelous Cherry rub. Everybody said the steaks were freaking awesome. We also had smashed red taters to add to the fold. No photos were taken because I was too short of time. Everybody left full and happy.
