You guys and your ability to work with metal! I must say, if I still lived in Birmingham, I'd be bugging the crap outta you to let me come over and learn. Amazing work you are doing! I cretainly wish I had skills like that.

I just realized that your vertical chamber door is right over your fire box. Are you going to insulate the doors or put like a roundstock guard over it some how? That or be very very careful. I think I'm diggin' your handles too. those are pretty sharp.

I usuallyturn the warming chamber 90 degrees did not this time due to space. There is a1/4" plate seperating the 2. Explain a little furthur for me I could be missing something and that is certainly possible. Thank's for the concern and my friend you may be dead on

Great looking cooker, I bet she will turn out some great Q. I also have a question for anyone in the Brethren. If you was going to build a home made offset such as this one what type of tank would you make it from. I have thought about building one would like to start with a tank of some sort. Would a large air compressor tank work, maybe a old propane tank or would it be contaminated?

Very nice work on the smoker. And the garden looks awesome too.

(My garden looks awful this year - it has been bone dry where I live. Central Florida just got 3 days of rain ... and it rained for about 5 minutes total here at my house. )

most all of mine are decommissioned propane tanks. No problem with contamination burn it out good and you will not have any problems. An air tank would be a great choice also.If you ever have any questions pm me and I will help all i can
