Since many of you live in Texas and if you want to help out, here is the info on where they will be set up. Bryan McLarty with Big Fish BBQ is the main contact and his email is Bryan McLarty
[email protected]. Information is below!
We have a mobilization location for Operation BBQ Relief. We will be setting up at the Bootleg BBQ in Royse City. This business was literally in the path of the tornado today, but was spared, less some debris and a little damage. They are located on Hwy 276 in Royse City, just a few miles East of Southern Junction. If you have something you can donate to drop off, please do so at this location, or... let me know and we will try to arrange a way to get it. The actual address is
Bootleg BBQ
6439 SH276 W
Royse City, TX 75189
Larry Newberry is the owner, and has already gone thru most of his meat just feeding the first responders today. There is considerable damage in this area, so your donations are gladly accepted, and as always, paypal works when you can't think of what to send.

Bryan and Larry have done a fantastic job.
I was a first responder to that area after the tornado hit. After making our primary seraches through a couple of neighborhoods, we had several departments working on a house that had some people trapped under some debrie so I decided to get rehab set up. I was just at Bootleg BBQ for lunch that day and remembered that Larry had some bottled water. We were literally less than 1/8th of a mile from his place so I took a truck over there and asked if we could get some water from him. He said, not only can you have water I have a bunch of meat we can slice and chop for sandwiches. After we cleared the last house that had victims in them, we set up a staging area right there in the parking lot of Bootleg. Larry and his crew were working without lights and electricity but that didn't matter. He heated up the griddle and was making burgers as fast as he could, along with making up chopped brisket and pork sandwiches. All of us firemen/EMS/LEO enjoyed a quick bite to eat before being reassigned to new areas and duties.
Bryan showed up the next day with another crew ready to rock since then. I'm not sure how much longer Bryan will be set up there but anyone wanting to help out Larry at Bootleg BBQ in Royse City "pay some bills" he has done all of this while totally shutting down his doors to paying customers. I'm sure he would appreciate it.

I was out there the first day OBR was getting setup, and there were a number of cookers setup in the parking lot at Bootleg BBQ, feeding the folks of Royse City and it expanded later to Forney also. Bryan and crew have or will be pulling up stakes at Bootleg BBQ today. The crew that out there was great and they fed alot of folks who needed a warm meal for sure. Cudos for the work that OBR did for East Texas.

My hat is off to all that are doing an amazing job in Texas! They are pulling off an amazing job with out all the ammenties that we are accustom to I am sure.
I was proud to help cook and assist at OBR in Dexter Michigan a few weeks ago!
I haven't felt so happy and proud to assist but so humbled at the same time.
If anybody can help in anyway it will be a huge plus. Sad part is up here in the upper mid west storm season has not really begun.
