So I dropped my car off to get worked on today and my mechanic had a brand new weber kettle sitting there with no legs never used. He said take it. I get home and turns out its a new platinum minus the legs a two side tables. So now do I price it out for the legs and tables or just buy the old style legs and front handle it's missing? I don't need another grill but was maybe thinking about just leaving my rotisserie setup on one of the kettles. Or since I have 2 kettles maybe sell my ceramic, since I like the weber kettle better anyways. I hate to regret selling the ceramic afterwards though.

Use it for parts and build a UDS.

Or if your like A LOT of other people who don't want an old oil drum sitting around their house fix it up and CL it.

Thanks for the ideas. No offense but I don't have a desire for a UDS. I maybe missing out.

If it were mine, I would put some short legs on it to take camping -- sort of like the old Smokey Joe Platinum.

a friend of mine bought some 3/4" threaded pipe and uses them for legs on his Weber kettle. Raises up the cooking height and is more stable than factory legs.

Thanks. I priced out the parts from Weber and it's not worth it. Over $200. I'll put some homemade legs on it.
Thanks

so you have most of it. pipes can be used as legs as mentioned. looks like you got a great deal.
