It's nice to go to a place where they sometimes get you what you need with a forklift.

I wish we had one around my area. The closest one is in Atlanta and that's 2 hours away.

I have one close to me and joined online but haven't been yet. I did see on their website that it was cash and carry so they don't take debit or cc's?

You can shop there if you are a KCBS member.

Yep. Just show them your KCBS membership card and a photo id, and you will get a free one day pass. You can come back each day after that and get another free one day pass, as many times as you like. Sure, it's not a full blown membership, but it gets you in every time, and it's free. Well, you have to pay for the KCBS membership, but that has perks as well. If nothing else, just for the bullsheet. I read mine and then use it to start fires in my chimney. I wish they would send me two or three of those...

Requirements were pretty simple.
I picked up a business license for 24.00/yr.

That's all they needed.

Was wondering, because we shop there all the time with our KCBS membership...about the only thing it is worth these days!!

I've never been to a Restaurant Depot and I don't know anything about them. Are their prices that much better than places like Costco, or do they carry more and/or better items? We have a small "wholesale" chain out here called Smart and Final and they carry a lot of good restaurant quality food and equipment. But I might want to check out RD. Thanks.

Prices are far better than anything I see where I normally shop, including Costco, or the items I looked at today were.

They are a membership only wholesale club that doesn't allow the general public (must be business or get on day KCBS pass)
Case and pallet quantities as well as single units.

Here are some prices I saw today.

Angus beef choice briskets 2.39/lb (select non-angus was 2.29)

Spare ribs 1.89/lb

Baby back ribs 3.39/lb

Pork butts 1.54/lb (these were nice big butts - 2 pack = 20/lbs with gorgeous MM)

Leg of lamb 3.89/lb (great price on lamb)

Its not just the prices, it's the selection. (They had 3 different sizes of spare ribs)

Great. I see that there's a RD very close to me. Those prices do look good. And it's nice to hear that the selection is so good. Gotta check them out. Thanks for the info.
