Have you ever had nothing to eat for lunch and started digging through the freezer and found something that you have overlooked for a few months? Well my friends, today I won the freezer lottery when I found some pulled pork that I smoked in December. That pulled pork just cried out to be made in to a nice sammie. :thumb:

I love it when that happens. It's a bright point in the day after wondering if you are going to eat anything worth a crap.

Great find in the freezer!

Somebody (not me this time) left the freezer door cracked overnight, causing a chuck roast to thaw out, so I was forced to cook it HH with some hickory and cherry chunks over Stubb's briquettes, then braised in some beef broth and Oakridge Santa Maria, along with some onions & garlic until it reached 200°. Let it cool since we already had something for dinner and vacuum sealed it then put it in the freezer. Hope to have a similar freezer lottery win in the next few weeks... except I know it's in there! :-D

It's nice when it works out that way. Wife was making split pea soup last week (the only meal she cooks  ) when she complained to me that the smoked pork hocks barely had any meat on them. I remembered that I had some frozen pulled pork and she put some of that in there. Best soup she's made yet! :-D

Bizarre, I also made an unexpected find in my freezer. I found a big bag of trimmings from the 4 pork butts I did in December. I had two that were a bit larger, so I trimmed them down so that all 4 were about 8.5 lbs. I bagged the trimmings, tossed them in the back of the freezer, and forgot about them. They were all really thin slices, so I rubbed them with my Bayou Blend and pan seared them to go along with the Cajun Rice. A Freezer Lottery Winner for sure!

I am that guy as well...The wife pulls out stuff and and says "for us, or the dog?" It's rarely for the dog.
