Anyone ever thought of using dried coconut husks in a stickburner? I know for most of you it's not accessible but do you think it could work? I work very close to the coconut board out here and they have piles of the stuff... :becky: Whaddaya think?

I envy you...A LOT--
If I was living in Jamaica and had access to those husks, I'd definitely give it a shot..Assuming there is no chemical reaction, what's the worst that could happen? try something cheap like chicken or a chuck roast! I really want to know what it's like!

Give it a try and let us know how it turns out. Not a lot of coconuts here, unless ya go to the grocery store and those don't have the husks on them

I've not done it, but have heard of using it for smoking fish. I happen to have a pile out back, and will give 'er a go. Thanks for the thread!
