Decided to grill up some dinner tonight. Bought myself a ribeye and some new york strips for the wife and kids. I recently ordered the sample pack of rubs from Tasty Licks BBQ and I needed an excuse to use them. I put some kosher salt on the steaks and let them sit while I got the rest of dinner going. Just before throwing them on I liberally applied some Tasty Licks Redeye Redmeat Rub. I cut up some zucchini and summer squash and tossed them in EVOO and the rest of the Redeye rub. Threw the steaks on a 650 F grill along with the veggies. My wife and daughter are both terrified of a steak that is still pink, but I was able to convince them to try them medium. I'm proud to announce that they both loved it. They were amazed at how much easier they were to chew. My wife can't eat a steak without A-1, but tonight the combination of medium and the Redeye Rub was a hit. She loved it, and asked me to order some more rub cause it is her new favorite. Of course, if the wife is encouraging me to order more rubs, I can't argue, only comply :thumb: Served the steaks with the squash and zucchini and twice baked potatoes. The dog is now enjoying the bone while I'm sitting on the couch trying not to die from eating too much. The ribeye was a little overdone for my taste, but the New York steaks were perfect (sorry no pics, they were too hungry).
