Anyone know anything about these smokers? It's made in Oklahoma. Found one on CL for $80

I don't know anything about them except they're made in Choteau, OK, east of Tulsa, the 'factory' seems to be a house, the owner is Steve Steddum, and his phone number is 918- 476-5359. All that info may be outdated.

It certainly looks like it would be worth a lot more than $80. Looks like 1/4" or at least 3/16" steel. I'd jump on it.

Those were sold around here for awhile in stores like Atwoods and Ace Hardware... They looked ok and were alot more expensive than $80.00. I think the last one I saw at Atwoods was $600.00 but it was about 2x the size of the pictured..:thumb:

That's what I was thinking, doesn't look like flimsy steel.

Yeah, it appears to be pretty well made. I can see that the cooking chamber door is flanged all the way around, and that's good. Not a bad little pit, and it looks pretty clean. Let us know how it turns out.

It would bring more than that at the junk yard, better jump on it.
