I have horrible luck with spray bottles. I use them to spritz my food. I have bought cheap ones, expensive one and they never last very long. I have seen on some shows a pump style sprayer.

I have found some online but they don't state they are food grade. Do they truely have to be? More so when doing comps I guess.

What does everyone else use for spraying food

I don't spray; I mop. They are always food grade. :icon_blush:

Saw spray bottles at the Dollar Tree the other day when I was stocking up on "Awesome Cleanser". For a buck, I'm guessing they're not high quality, but compared to the $3-$5 I've seen them for everywhere else they're worth a try. That is if there's a Dollar Tree in your area. As for the garden sprayers, I've never noticed if they're food grade or not. I've used them on food with no obvious ill effects. I've used them on food with no obvious ill effects. Cheap sprayers from HD or Walmart. I use them a couple of times & toss them.

I stopped spritzing and mopping after I figured out it just extends cooking time by opening the smoker.

No peeking, no spritz, no mop, just power through till probe tender.

It's just a lot less work this way, and I'll never go back. Hot and fast rules. 12 hour cooks? Are you friggin kidding me? No thanks.

I use the garden spray available at Home Depot/Lowe's and it's fairly inexpensive.
