Don't be turned off on this until you try them. They are really good. They do not have an overpowering bacon flavor, but more of a finishing hint of bacon.

8 slices bacon, crumbled
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup softened butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks

1. Preheat an oven to 350
2. Cook bacon in pan until crisp. Drain and crumble.

3. Beat the sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until combined well.

4. Mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

5. Mix in the chocolate chunks and bacon.

6. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then let cool for a few minutes.

I was thinking the same thing! My buddy's wife made some maple bacon cupcakes once and they were mind-blowingly good!

OK, you've got my attention! Hey, I love those chocolate bars that have chili pepper in them, so bacon and chocolate is a must try on my list after seeing those cookies!
