I have been smoking with my Bradley Smoker for over a year and decided to get an offset. I just got this on Friday and have seasoned it now for the past two days. Here are some images of the pit before my seasoning.

I guarantee yer gonna love the food that comes off of that thing - what a beaut!

Great features - love the hole for the probe wires and looks like you can easily hook up a pit temp controller to the firebox as well. That table is fantastic! I'll be you're one happy farker right about now. :thumb:

On edit - I have no idea where you're at with fire management and all that, but if you need info, there are a lot of great threads around here on that subject that most definitely changed my stickburning life for the better.

Congrats. Ritch Robin/Gator Pit of Texas makes a beautiful pit. He made a door and doorframe for my brick pit that turned out great. I'll post pron of it in the near future. Gotta get it installed first.

Congrats! I love my gator. Once you play with the tuning plates you will learn how to maintain even temps or if you need it a different temp in one area of pit that to is possible. I have had a reverse flow which was great but I prefer the tuning plates. Great choice

It's hard to believe how tuning plates make a huge difference. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I don't want to knock my Bradley Smoker that I have used for almost 2 years, but I have never got the color on the ribs that came off my new baby.

I may need to pick your brain on the tuning plate configurations. Sounds very interesting on the different zones you can have....

I like your pit it looks like they do a top shelf job.I have a question about the tuning plates,do they rest on angle iron or do they rest on the curvature of the pipe? Thanks and I hope to see some q from that pit soon :thumb:
