Well I have the day off today and I just received my brand new pitmaster ique 110 and I thunk to myself, how better to spend my day then lighting the pit......I already had some spare ribs so I decided to test out the ique 110 on my weber 26". I prepared the ribs using Texasbbqrub.com (original rub) which is great stuff and placed them on a rack using a piece of foil as a deflector. Just put them on and I got say that so far I am impressed. The ique 110 is holding temp pretty good so far......will post the money shot when they're done but check these out for now.....61334

You are going to love that IQ. Didn't take me long to put my Guru on mothballs and order a second. This week I will be ordering my third...and all my smokers will be IQ outfitted!

I ordered mine last week. I was hoping to get it this week and start cooking. But I got an update that it won't ship for at least another week

Same here. I figured it would ship within a couple of days not 2 weeks. If I would have known that I might have been tempted to order something else. I'm an instant gratification type guy who hates to wait (thanks to 20+ yrs in the Army for hating to wait for anything). These must be made to order.

I believe they are made to order but well worth the wait... I just received an email from the owner and the sale ends on Wednesday at 11:59 pm.....but anyway here is the money shot...I usually wrap the ribs for an hour during the cooking but this time I let them ride naked the entire cook.....they came out AWESOME....the ique 110 worked FLAWLESSLY...... check 'em out..

I ordered mine this morning, hoping that I would have it for an important cook this coming weekend. these lead times I'm hearing are kinda a bummer.

Nice to see this thread. I use an iQue 110 on my 18.5 WSM. I have a 22.5 kettle, too, but I've never used the iQue on it.

If you like it now, get yourself a WSM, and you will LOVE it.

My 22.5 kettle is a Master's Touch, which is like a OTG, so it has the fancy ash catcher on it. That makes the iQue a PITA to use on it.

I'm glad you are happy with your purchase.

Now get a WSM. :heh: :becky:

I really enjoy mine, I got them second hand and the only complaint I have so far is that I've destroyed two temp probes just by lightly pulling on them while removing them after a cook on my WSM. I set my 110 today at 275 and did ribs in about 4 hours. Let me tell you they were NUMMY!

My main motivation. Had a couple of cooks lately that have kept me up all night. I don't have a covered spot to smoke so the wind and weather effect my temps more that I would like them too.

My IQ110 seems to keep overshooting my temp setting. Sunday I ran it at 225 for two hours smoking chicken legs and then cranked it to 375 to finish. When I came back outside, the pit (Stumps stretch) was over 400 and climbing.
I run the ball valve wide open and noticed it has blown ash into the cooking chamber. Maybe I need to crank the intake to 1/2 once I reach temp???

You definitely need to restrict either the intake or the exhaust on a vertical smoker. The natural vertical draft will pull enough air through the iQue for the temps to spike. I have had this happen on my UDS. I expect it would be worse on the Stumps since it is well insulated. I would just close the intake to about 1/4 and let the iQue do the work.
