My folks came up to visit and see the new house this weekend. So we go out to get lunch and decide to stop at the Academy sports on the way home. Those of you that do not know what that is, well it's kinda like a Dick's sporting goods, just with a whole bunch more outdoor stuff. They get in there and for whatever reason they decide to start buying stuff like they are christmas shopping! We get by the grills and smokers and they have a 22" weber kettle in the mix. I tell em that is what I was cooking on in Korea, works great. They know I don't have one at the house. They then pick up a box and say let's go! :clap2:After arguing with them over it I ended up letting them buy it. Score!! Somebody is cooking brisket this weekend. Maybe now that I have access to my buzz box I can make a form fitting drip pan to cover half the charcoal grate.

Yer gonna love that kettle and it will probably rid you of your existing rig. The kettle is probably the most versatile piece of bbq equipment out there in its price range. Good luck with it!

I do not plan on going anywhere permanently, only 6 months at a time. my slot is January - June 2013 so who knows where I will be going then. If I play my cards right that will be my last deployment before I retire.
