Agree... like that sauce!

However the Tabasco Smoked Chipotle is also a slow heat and very useful.

Oh, I love the chipotle Tabasco, but sometimes I don't
want the smoke flavor *gasp*. :-D

Try the Arizona Gunslinger sauces.

Louisiana brand is the best. I just prefer the flavor of cayenne peppers over tabasco.

My every day salsa is El Pato jalapeno salsa. It's really prevalent out here and only $.99. Goes great on eggs and all sorts of stuff.

+1 on the Tabasco Chipotle. I was always a Louisiana brand fan until Tabasco came out with the Chipotle. I love it on many things but one of my favorite is adding it to pizza. I still use Louisiana when I don't want the smokey flavor (Gumbo, Jambalaya, etc).

I LOVE this thread. Great simple thread topic John. I'm going to have to try this Gold stuff. It's funny, I think it's safe to say that most of us have the "small hot sauce bottle" in our cupboards or fridges, and we use it on basically everything but "Mexican" food. And I'm not naive, it's not like all hot sauce is intended for "Mexican" food. Hopefully you know what I mean. I love my Cholula hot sauce on Mac 'n' Cheese! We're all weird. And my wife rolls her eyes at me to remind me of my weirdness.

And thanks to everybody else for their favorites - I'm gonna stock my cupboard and try some new stuff.

I suppose the "go to" sauce I might have (after looking at them) is maybe this. I've been using this sauce for several years now on anything that's not "Mexican".

Nothing beats a simple fried egg with that stuff on it. Also awesome on cheese and crackers.

Since Louisiana Gold and Louisiana Brand Hot Sauces are products of the same company, how does the Louisiana Gold differ?

Have you tried both?

Just curious.

Amen! I generally have a go-to sauce for each general category of food
(Tapatio/Cholula for Mexican/Tex Mex, Tiger Sauce for BBQ, etc.), but this
Louisiana Gold is my new general default sauce.

Daddio, your link is broken -- a few extra characters in there.

Sorry about that. See the link below.

Since Louisiana Gold and Louisiana Brand Hot Sauces are products of the same company, how does the Louisiana Gold differ?

Have you tried both?

I have tried both, and I think this description of the difference from
their site (http://www.lagoldhotsauce.com/) is very accurate.

Louisiana Gold Red Pepper Sauce and Louisiana Gold Green Sauce… blended with Tabasco peppers for a richer, more exciting premium pepper sauce flavor. Louisiana Gold Mild Green and Fiery Red sauces… much more than ordinary single pepper sauces – they’re Gold. You can read more about the sauce and its accolades here (http://www.lagoldhotsauce.com/gold-challenge.html).

We are looking into new gift boxes and are thinking about several different set ups. We used to have one gift box on the site, but this last Christmas wiped out our inventory. We've got the National Fiery Foods & BBQ Show coming up in just over a month, so I don't think we will have time to get the new gift boxes before then... Probably sometime in March or April...

Thanks for the comments.

I use hot sauce like many folks use ketchup. Similar to the Franks' commercial, I put that chit on everything. I have already mentioned that Louisiana and Tabasco Chipotle are some of my main staples. There are many others I like, too. Today I picked up one I hadn't tried called Blair's Golden Death Sauce. It is a Scotch Bonnet pepper sauce with a little chipotle added in for good measure. I must say I really like this hot sauce but it is a bit pricey for everyday use. This one is pretty hot but Blair's has some others that will make this one look tame.
