View Full Version : Moinks- my balls are bigger than I thought

Okay, my first attempt at moink balls. I did not use the store bought ones ( that would have been too easy ) I used some burger, onion soup mix, garlic, egg, ...basic meatloaf reciepe. And added a hunk of pineapple for the wife in some of them for her.

They were larger than expected since I used an entire piece of bacon to go around them and then did not have to use any toothpicks. We will see if that was smart or not.

I made a couple with just the burger mix and no pineapple, that is the one I put the probe from the 732. I was wondering how long these would take to cook at 225-250 in a bradley? not that it matters much, the wife is happy the sink is clean and dinner is cooking.

Looks fine to me, alhtough that no toothpick thing may come back to get you, although with 2 wraps, who knows.

I checked them a little while ago...they are at 140 IT and looking awesom, not coming undone like I thought they might. But that may come i the next 30 degrees of cooking. Take them off at about 170 IT? Is that correct?

First off, those were some nice MOINK balls (all caps).

Oh, how deep into the gutter we have gone. Taking a perfectly good family meal and making it into a XXX food. It is just ground beef wrapped in bacon.

I would never try to make that into a testicle joke. I am soooo far above that. :becky:

I've got to stop coming here. There's not enough time in a year to make all these delicious looking foods. These look absolutely amazing. I need to take Redhot's jalapeno, cheese stuffed meatballs and wrap them in bacon. That way I can kill 2 birds with one smoke!

Now, I'm not a doctor and I hate to have to tell you this, but I believe you have Elephantitis of your MOINK balls. :shocked:
