AZBBQA has been contacted by Food TV to do a Copper Chef cook off on July 9th, it will be Iron Chef Format. We don't have all the details yet, seems like kind of short notice to pull all together.

The Copper Chef Challange is finally going to happen this Sat. 10/8. It will be Iron Chef format,we get our suprise ingredients at 8am and turn is at 1pm.There will be one turn in plate 12" or 15" and we have to use all the ingredients given to us.We can bring our own rubs and spices. The location is Rock Springs AZ about 40mi north of PHX.It's and old stage coach stop, a cafe and gift shops.(rockspingscafe.com.) I hope some of my AZ or SoCal Brothers can come to watch me make an ASH of myself  I will take some pics.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Good luck.

Like Greg said - it'll take a LONG time to get aired. Which "show" is doing it?

Thanks for the update, hopefully one of the AZ Bros can be of help to you. A little short on cash, and not a lot of time to plan to get away for an event that far. Wish I could.

Copper Chef is over and Food TV didn't show up,they gave us Buffalo ribs, stew meat and ground meat plus lots of veggies.I did the ribs 3-1-1 and they came out good, made stew which was good.I tried to make armadillo eggs with the ground meat and it was awful,i didn't include it on the turn in plate. It was fun and i was amazed at the turn in plates. They were beautiful but if they didn't describe them you would know what it was.BTW i took sixth place.Heres a few pics, some with the other camera are to large but this gives you a idea.

Good job Rich

Stuff looks good

But I gotta ask

What the hell is on the end of the table in the last picture?

Looks like a lion standing in front of 2 pigs going at it.
