$750

3/16" steel, pull out shelves & built in baffle.

I can't remember if it was 16" or 20" in diameter.

I havn't been able to locate one in DFW yet. Maybe I can get Jorge to get measurements.

The new ones work. Good job. Looks good, but it is hard to beat that 1/4 steel that the BYC is made of. This one would be much easier to run up a ramp on a trailer to take to a contest though.

Where I live a 1/16" won't make much difference.

Is that the Academy over by Sea World? Passed another SA location yesterday but didn't see anything that big out front.

Vance Jackson and 410.

Measurements: Vert ist 15 3/4wx17 1/4dx30h
horizontal is 15 1/8dx32 1/2w
Fire box is 16hx16 1/2dx16 1/2w

I couldn't move the cooker enough to open the fire box so thos measurements are external (cabled to other cooker for anti-theft mod).

I wish I'd had the camera with me for some of the details.

Things I didn't like:

Vertical door! The finish work wasn't the best. Where they ground down the welds there some breaks in the bead which over time could be a problem. I also didn't care for they way they hung the door. They used a rod on the left side of the vertical and had that as the pivot. Fine as long as you keep it out of the weather and lubed up. I also didn't care for the big gap between the door and the wall of the vertical on than side. I guess you could do a mod to solve that but..... Sausage rods look like you were stuck with them inside whether you wanted to use them or not. Pull- out shelves were nice, but I'd prefer a little more room between them in case I had a large cut of meat like a picnic, or wanted to use rib racks. There were tabs down lower, but they didn't have anything welded just above that to take advantage of the pullout shelves. No place for a water/sand pan for the heatsink junky.

Horizontal: Hinged the same way except, horizontal with the same issues on maintenance and weather.

firebox I can't tell you much about it. Opened up the top and they had a couple of expanded metal grates in there.

There was also a CB Bandera out there with a damaged door for 50% off. Everything else looked fine and seemed to be there. It's the China version.
