Heya Phil and da udder Brethren,

This is Erik, formerly of Hoover Fence BBQ. Switched the team name back because too many people said they liked my original name. Easy to remember on account of my farked up eye.

Cooked against guys in New Hampshire last year, and with Zack's at Guitarbeque. Drooling when thinking of the kick-ass prime rib you served.

Anyway, just a quick note to say Hi, found you site again and figured I'd check out what the BBQ Brethren have been up to.

Take care, I'm off to the Cabela's cook in Michigan this weekend.

Just spotted where Warren is on the map.

Spent quite a few moons courting the wife in Youngstown.

What the hell is the deal with Italian Wedding Soup?

Again, welcome Eric.

Italian wedding soup is to Italians as albondigas soup is to Mexicans as Texoma is to peanuts.

I feel all tingly inside.
New to your forum, so I'll check out the other forum categories and make sure I post in the right ones.

Got some info from a recent comp to share.

 I doubt it. Did the Cabela's in Dundee, MI last weekend, and had planned to do the one in Wheeling, WV also. Lady Luck and my bevy of "flower pots" (Green Eggs) somehow got me into the Cabela's Invitational in September, so I might chuck the Cabela's Wheeling and do the Ribberfest in Indiana instead.

Still got my good eye and my schedule open for the Royal Invitational too. Figure it will be a good time and also my birthday weekend. :D

Thanks!

Cast Iron Hot Dog Cooker eh? Got any pictures of that sucker? I ended up getting voted the "camp chef" by my son's Boy Scout Pack. So I end up cooking an awful lot of hot dogs for the boys. Always looking for a way to make it faster and easier.

No pics as yet. You know the Pie Cookers? Very similar except with 3 slots for hot dogs. Wife wanted it to keep the 3 year old outta the fire. Actually cooks them very well.

Ahh yeah, those folding "hobo-pie" thingies? Gotcha. You mean to tell me your toddler doesn't know how to fire up that Bandera yet and level her out to a steady 225? Get on the stick buddy! :)

Well, I'm sure he'll grow up to love BBQ as much as his Daddy. Had fun last weekend teaching my 8 year old how to clean lettuce and make turn-in boxes. He's so excited about the next cook-off. He almost lost it when I told him some contests have "Kid's Q" and he could actually cook his own things.

Niiiiice. I wish I had a nice pair of tits on my forehead too. In fact, I'd trade my good eye, and my green egg for a pair.

Gotta get yer site up and running man, you sound like a character.
