Greetings,
Has any performer owners found a suitable cover for the older stainless weber performer. I can order an older one, just a few suppliers, but figured someone has found a good fit through a generic company.

I spent alot of time restoring this baby and dont want it exposed to the elements much longer.

Thanks
D

if you can't find something, most auto upholstery shops would be glad to make one for you. use boat cover vinyl as it will last a long time.,

@BigRed1 ~ I found the model number for the SS Performer cover, 8701. According to another forum, you can still order it from Weber. Wish me luck!

The original Weber cover will run about $60 I believe. I measured my Performer from stem to stern (55" or 58") and then went to Academy sports. Found a nice cover, thick material, and it has worked great for much less $.

Thanks Caliking but we don't have an Academy Sports. I too measured and I've looked everywhere for a cover ~ no luck. I've sent an email to Weber ~ I'll let you all know the response.

Heard from Weber CS ~ total including shipping and sales tax is $60.99. I think I'll keep looking.

I agree. I have a rule never to pay more for a cover than I did for the smoker.:becky:

If you have a Walmart nearby you might try this:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/65-Deluxe-Cover-Grill-Tan/8587393.

It won't be a custom fit, but the price is right and I've had one on my Weber gasser for over 10 years and I'm just considering replacing it.

Academy Sports in Snellville, Cumming and McDonough.
I've been known to drive 24 miles 1 way for a special sumptin' at the McDonough store.

I think that this cover fits the older stainless steel Weber Performers:
