Greetings,

I am planning a Christmas party for the whole fam damily happening in a few weeks. Besides the usual fare, I want to schmoke a brisket. I have never cooked a wagyu brisket. What is a typical/good price to pay? Is it worth it? Can I get it locally (in CT) or do I have to get it via mail order. Can anyone recommend a good mail order site?

Thanks for the input,
Little Dick

i haven't found it localy.

stew's has a nice all natural brisket flat for @ 7 bucks per #.

the flats at whole foods have great color, not as marbled. @ same price.

paradise meats or our very own big poppa sells strube ranch wagyu brisket.

I would reccomend mastering a regular brisket before you pay that much for something thats not all that much better.

For comps I do 1 wagyu & 1 Sams seasoned and injected identical. Side by side there is a difference. But not enough that I would ever cook a wagyu in a noncomp situation. Save your money. Just my $.02.
